While mod support for console is much more rare, PC gamers get to experience a load of mods and FFXV has some of the best, most fun mods I’ve ever seen. Some mods, usually among the first to be released, fix bugs, others add content, and a load can give games a ridiculous and silly twist (I mean, Sailor Moon in L4D2? Top Notch!). Modding, overall, is one of the ultimate compliments fans can give a game, saying that they want to make the game even better and that they aren’t ready for the story to end.
One of the best ways to keep games alive and dynamic long after initial release is to allow for mods.
